17th Street Surf Shop has been a fixture of East Coast surf and skate culture since 1970. What began as a single storefront in Virginia Beach has grown into one of the region’s most recognized and respected surf and skate retailers.

Founded by surfers who wanted better access to quality gear, 17th Street quickly became a hub for the local surf community. Over the decades, we've expanded our locations and offerings, but our mission has remained the same: to support the surf and skate lifestyle with the best products and a deep connection to the culture that defines it.
